available today because of the anticipated strike action
proposed to commence today by NLC. Because the case file
is not with us to get ourselves conversant with the substance
of the case and to be able to cross examine witness of the
prosecution, we cannot go on. We therefore apply for an
adjournment to enable the lead counsel put his appearance in
the interest of justice.
Onyeka Ekweazor: Looking at the circumstances leading to the
application for an adjournment and which we are very much
arrive, we have no objection to the application. We have
agreed to the 19/10/2020 on the condition that we will bring
all our witnesses on that day.
N.N. Anaka Esq: That is the position.
Court:
This matter is hereby adjourned to 19/10/2020 for definite
hearing. It is also hereby ordered that the prosecution should
bring all the prosecution witnesses on that date. The
defendant be further remanded in prison custody at the
Federal Correctional Centre, Sokoto.
