Yakubu Sani Esq” Our PW3 is Inspector Rabiu Garba and will testify in English language. PW3 (After affirmation): My name is Insp. Rabiu Garba AP/No. 180230 attached to State CID Office Sokoto as an IPO under Anti-Robbery Section. I know all the Defendants as a result of a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Armed Robbery and Causing Grievous Hurt transferred to CID from Gwiwa Police Station, Sokoto on 20/12/2019 which was assigned to our team. Cpl. Habibu Ladan was instructed to record the statement of the 1st Defendant. After the statement was taken, I took the 1st Defendant along with the recovered Exhibit to the Exhibit Keeper for registration. At that time, 2nd and 3rd Defendants were at large. The items that I took the 1st Defendant along with the Exhibit Keeper are 1 cutlass, 2 handsets, liquid substance inside pack suspected to be liqour. It was on 31/11/2018 that the 2nd and 3rd Defendants were arrested and brought to CID by some policemen. I was personally detailed to record their statements. I took them to our detective room where we normally record statements of Complainants, witnesses and suspects.
