Nana Firdausi Bello is her daughter and that she was aged 9 years. This witness further told this court that she knew the defendant in this case and that about 2 years ago she sent her daughter Nana Firdausi to fetch water for her at a house called Gidan Mangurori at Minanata area and that she observed that Nana Firdausi took too long time to return. This witness further told this court that when Nana Firdausi returned home she was crying and this witness said she asked her what happened and she told her that somebody took into his room and raped her and later gave her mangoes. This witness further told this court that when she checked Nana Firdausi’s panties she saw blood. This witness further stated that she went straight to the said Gidan Mangurori and entered through the gate of the house and checked every room in the house but could not find the defendant and when she came out of the house she informed some people what happened to her daughter and those people also checked inside the house but could not see the defendant and that it was when they were coming out of the house that somebody saw the defendant laying down under a car and those people arrested the defendant while this witness went and called police.
