Illo AG/PT: Our PW5 ASP Zakariya Sani he is a police officer and will testify in English language. PW5 (after affirmation): My name is Zakariya Sani. I live at Shagari town. I am now 29 years in service. I know the defendant and his name is Aliyu Tukur. I came to know him when we were in a joint patrol team and I was their team leader at University gate here in Sokoto and that was on the 9/3/2021 and we were 6 in number and out of the 6 one of us left to go and buy food. I can remember Aliyu Tukur was one of the team members; there was also one Magaji, Joseph who is an force officer and our driver. We are a combination of officers from Airforce, civil defence and police organization. On that 9/3/2021 at about 1:30am and I deployed them according to police work the defendant was the 1st person in front at the place and the Civil Defence Officer was at the back of the road while the Airforce was on the right side while I am in Page 20 of 32
