is the 2nd Defendant, but before I started recording his statement, I first of all wrote down a cautionary word which we normally call a word of caution in the language he understands which he said is Hausa language and read over to him. He understood and then signed and I countersigned. He then gave me his statement voluntarily in Hausa language without any duress, promise or threat. After I recorded it, I then read it over to him. He understood and signed and I also countersigned. The statement was then filed in the case file. I then went back to Sama’ila Sulaiman (3rd Defendant). I wrote the word of caution in Hausa language and read it over to him. He understood and signed the word of caution and I countersigned. He then gave me his statement voluntarily in Hausa language without any duress, promise or threat. After I recorded it, I read it over to him, he understood and signed and I also countersigned. The statements of the 2nd and 3rd Defendants were recorded in the presence of my team mates among them was, DSP Hassan Hassan, Cpl. Habibu Ladan, ASP Moh’d Tanko and Insp. Marcus Dangana.
