I then rushed out and I met the woman selling kwai-da-kwai where I saw crowd of people and asked them what happened and they narrated to me what happened and showed me one Babangida (PW4). I observed he has an injury on his shoulder with blood coming out there from and I was informed that he was injured by some 3 people who came on a motorcycle who had already ran away. I then went to my office at Gwiwa Police Station and reported the incident. After I reported the matter I went back to where I was working. While I was there, Babangida called me on phone that they went to hospital and saw the culprits as they brought one of them who was injured for treatment. So I went to the hospital to arrest the culprits. When I went to the hospital, I saw the 2nd Defendant in the Specialist Hospital dressing room receiving treatment. At that time I was in company of one Salisu Nafiu. Because I don’t know the type of weapons they are carrying, I decided to call our patrol team as well as our DPO. So when the 2nd Defendant heard me communicating to our police officers he called the attention of the 1st Defendant who was in the dressing room receiving treatment and alerted him. When I heard what the 2nd Defendant was doing I attempted to get him arrested, but he ran way, I then pursued him and while we were running I saw the 3rd Defendant whom Babangida said was among and he also started running.
