contained sensitive documents as copies of Certificate of Occupancy and other documents; and she accepted the request without asking to know the contents of the file. But she was unable to deny the fact that the documents were found in her possession. My finding is therefore that the Defendant’s attempt to retract her confessional statement was belated. Indeed it was an afterthought. The statement was admitted in her presence. Her solicitor, who had been served in advance with the statement and who knew or ought to know that it contained positive confession to the offence charged, did not object to its admissibility when the same was sought to be tendered.
