Hospital and that at the Hospital she was examined and it was concluded that the Nana Firdausi was raped. This witness further stated that she later went to the police station. This witness further told this court that the defendant was later arrested and taken to the C.I.D office. This witness further stated that her statement was recorded at the C.I.D office. This witness stated under cross examination that she did not witness the defendant raping her daughter. This witness further told this court that she took her daughter to the hospital and that after the Doctor examined her he did not prescribe any medicine for her but he only instructed her to be putting her in warm water with dettol. This witness further stated under cross examination that she put the soiled panties of her daughter inside a pit latrine. After the close of the case for the prosecution, the defence opened their case. The defendant called one Abdulrashid Mustapha to testify on his defence. The defendant himself did not testify in this case. Mr. Abdulrashid Mustapha testified in this case as DW1. He told this court that the defendant is his junior brother.
