Government Area of Sokoto state within the Sokoto Judicial Division entered the camp of one Muhammadu Dan Haju and abducted his wife one Hajiya Maryamu from the lawful care of her husband and thereby committed an offence under section 273 of the penal code, Cap. 104 laws of Sokoto state of Nigeria, 1996. 3. That you Baito Na Alti on or about the 18th day of February, 2019 at about 0800 hrs at a bush near Unbuttu Village in Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto state within the Sokoto judicial division was found in possession of a locally made dane gun where you threw away the said gun when you were been pursued by a group of men, you thereby committed the offence of illegal possession of Firearms contrary to section 3 of the Robbery and firearms {Special Provisions} Act, Cap. R 11 laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2004. After plea of not guilty was taken the case was adjourned to 2/12/2020 for hearing, and on that 2/12/2020, the prosecution called five {5} witnesses and tendered some exhibits, and thereafter the case was adjourned to 17/12/2020 for continuation of hearing. The prosecution on that 17/12/2020, decided to close its case and so the case was adjourned to 27/1/2021 for defence. On the 27/1/2021, the defendants opened their defence and called three {3} witnesses and closed their defence. The three {3} defendants who testified as the defence witnesses were the only witnesses who testified in their defence, and the case was adjourned to 10/2/2021 for adoption of parties written addresses. 3
