somebody. This witness further told this Court that he met Abubakar lying unconscious and he called his name thrice but he did not answer. This witness further told this Court that it was at this juncture that the Civil Defence Officer came and took the deceased to the Hospital at Sokoto where on arrival at the Hospital he died. This witness further told this Court that the deceased was then brought back home and he was buried. This witness further told this Court that he was invited at the C.I.D. office Sokoto where he made a statement. Under cross-examination this witness stated that he did not see the defendant inflicting any injury on the deceased. The next witness that testified for the prosecution in this case is one Aliyu Lawali. He told this Court that he lives at Bela Village in Dange Shuni LGA of Sokoto State. This witness identified the defendant by his name and told this Court that what he knew about this case is that on a Wednesday, he and some other people went to a nearby village Runjin Kwandara to attend a Local Wrestling and that the said village is very close to Lugu Village. This witness further told this Court that after they came back from the said event around 6 to 7oclock in the evening, himself, Aliyu, Umar Dange and Abubakar Danshehu, the deceased in this case, the defendant called them and said that he is a small somebody from among them said that he is a small boy and the deceased answered by saying yes indeed somebody among them said that he is not a small boy and at that juncture while they were all walking, the defendant followed them and hit the deceased with the said stick on the head and the deceased fell down, the defendant also hit him again with the said stick.
