other group consisting of Aliyu Umma, Zayyanu and Abubakar and they greeted each other. This witness further stated that hose they met were holding sticks and one of them was holding a machete. This witness further stated that Aliyu Lawali was the one holding a machete and he attacked him with the said machete. This witness further stated that as a result of the attack, he fell down under a tree and at that juncture all his friends and his attackers ran away and went home. This witness further stated that after he regained consciousness he trekked home and at that juncture he met the father of his attacker Aliyu Lawali in his family house tendering an apology as to what he did to this witness and it was decided that they be forgiven. Under cross-examination this witness told this Court that on the 25th of Sept, 2019 there was a Local Wrestling Match and on that fateful day a fight broke out between his friends and the other group consisting of Aliyu, Uma, Zayyanu and Abubakar. This witness confirmed to this Court that he also participated in the said fight. This witness further told this Court that it was as a result of the said fight that one Abubakar Auwalu lost his live. This witness further told this Court that he knew the deceased Abubakar Auwalu from Bela Village. This witness further stated under cross-examination that there was brewing tension between Bela and Kusu Villages. This witness further told this Court that he was also cut with a machete in the course of the said fight and he fell down unconscious. This witness further stated that after regaining consciousness, he went home and it was from there that he was taken to the Hospital.
