I am a Public Servant, a Police Officer working with State CID Office, Sokoto Police Command as an Exhibit Keeper. I have been an Exhibit Keeper for about 5 years. Some of my duties are; accepting and registering of items in connection with Criminal cases and tendering same before the court if need arises. I came to know them on 20/12/2018 when I was in the office at State CID Office Sokoto when Insp. Rabiu Garba brought to me the Defendants along with one cutlass stained with blood; one white Vivo mobile phone; one red Infinix mobile phone and one black Techno handset without back cover for registration in connection with a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Armed Robbery and Causing Grievous Hurt. I accepted the items and I register them as follows:i) Cutlass with blood stain – Exh. 118/A/2018; ii) White Vivo mobile phone - Exh. 118/B/2018; iii) Red Infinix handset – Exh. 118/B1/2018; and iv) Black Techno handset without back cover - Exh. 118/B2/2018. I kept the Exhibits in my official custody till on the 21/12/2018 where the IPO Insp. Rabiu Garba brought to me bond to produce Exhibits to release Page 6 of 36
