He added further that he made a similar complaint to the Anam dra State Government but nothing was done. In his testimony the Pw2 stated that he was the one who investigated the petition of the Pwl against the Defendants . The 1st Defendant was the acting provost of the College while the 2nd Defendant was the Bursar of the College . He added that the Defendants claimed that the payments to the hotel were regular but the hotel denied that the b ills were not issued by any of their staff. In the course of investigation , the Pw2 and his team of investigators went back to the ho tel only to found that it has been sold to a new ownership and the name of the hotel changed . They could not get the original bills from hotel. Even the desk officer could not be traced. Under cross-examination he admitted that the original booklet and S1f check out forms of the hotel are not serial in number and that there are other guest whose names are not included . He agreed that some guest names are not included in the forms . He admitted that in the course of investigations, he did not take the statement of the commissioner for ·Education, Anambra State or permanent secretary or Directorabout approval for accommodation of the 1 st Defendant .
