Exhibit 17 25/2/2010 A copy of the Nation Newspapers of Tuesday In his testimony, the DWl who was the manager of the Tourist Garden Hotel between 2007 to 2011 stated that he knew the 1st Defendant who was the interim provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe and that the 2nd Defendant was the bursar of the College at that time . He added that the 2nd Defendant came to his hotel to book rooms for the 1st Defendant . The said bookings should be kept a secret d ue to the incessant kidnappings in Anambra State at that time . He agreed to keep the transactions secret as his managing Direct was once a victim of kidnapping himself. He offered the 2nd Defendant rooms 404 and l 05 to take subject to availability at discount rate of N6,500@ per day. He added that the EFCC contacted him later on the matter and he told them that the l st Defendant stayed in the Hotel.
