empowers the Court to direct the convict to restitute the victim of the crime. In this regard, the Court may direct that the convict refunds the sum of N30,000,000 (Thirty Million Naira) as restitution to Amasi Okon.” The defendant has been discharged and acquitted of the 1st Count of the charge which is one where the prosecution allege an offence contrary to Section 1(1)(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related offences Act, 2006. The 2nd Count of the charge for which the defendant is convicted is forgery. The issue of how much Amasi Okon parted with was not considered.
