PW3: The kidnappers were masked when they came and I could not see their faces and I also don’t know them. The incident happened in the night and all those who came to our house masked their faces, and I did not recorgnise any one of them. Court: After the close of cross examination questions from the defence counsel the prosecution did not ask any reexamination question to the witness, and so the witness was discharged. PW4: {After affirmation}: My name is Usmanu Muhammadu. I live at Rugar Fwako in Tambuwal Local Government of Sokoto State. I am a livestock rearer. I know 2 of the defendants. I know Alhaji Aliyu Jaye the 1st defendant and Daneri the 2nd defendant. I know them since I was about 10 years old. I know one Hajiya Maryamu Muhammadu because she is my mother {PW3}. I am aware of the incident that happened to her in 2019. About one year and ten months at about 8pm in the night, we went to one village with my elder brother in person of Alhaji Rabiu for preaching in that village called Bawanka. While we were listening to the preaching, my elder brother’s phone was called informing him that there was a problem in our house probably our father has been kidnapped. We then drove our motorcycles back home where we realized it was our mother that was kidnapped. We then follow foot path, myself, my elder brother and other people who came to help us until we reach one town called Kebbe town outskirt. While we were going, we approached one Fulani settlement and stopped there until morning of the following day, and we continued moving in the bush, and on reaching a point, we sighted two people lying down and one sitting with Hajiya.
