Evaluation of evidence and ascription of relevant probative value
thereto, is the primary duty of the trial court which had the opportunity
of seeing and hearing the witnesses. It is only when the issue at stake is
narrowed down to the inference to be drawn from proved facts without
going into the rigour of determining credibility of witnesses that the
appellate court could rightly intervene to re-evaluate the evidence
especially where the findings are parse.
