when the MOU was signed, stood at N1,049,361,530.75 (One Billion
Forty Nine Million Three Hundred and Sixty One Thousand Five
Hundred and Thirty Naira Seventy Five Kobo), and it is the 40% of that
monetary value of the Company’s assets that the Sokoto State
Government purchased at the cost of N419,744,612.30 (Four Hundred
and Nineteen Million Seven Hundred and Forty Four Thousand Six
Hundred and Twelve Naira Thirty Kobo) to become a share holder of the
Company.
At page 2 of the memorandum of understanding, it is provided as
follows:“The investor hereby agrees to purchase shares in the
Company current value of N419,744,612.30 (Four
Hundred and Nineteen Million Seven Hundred and
Forty Four Thousand Six Hundred and Twelve Naira
Thirty Kobo) only. These share represent 40% of the
outstanding value the Company currently valued at
N1,049,361,530.75 (One Billion and Forty Nine
Million Three Hundred and Sixty One Thousand Five
Hundred and Thirty Naira Seventy Five Kobo) only.”
With the foregoing mutual understanding between the Applicant’s
Company and Sokoto State Government, it means the N419,744,612.30
paid by the Sokoto State Government (represent the 40% monetary value
of the Company’s assets as at 4/5/2017 when the MOU was signed by
the parties.
At page 4 of the MOU, the parties also agreed that after the Sokoto State
Government paid for the 40% equity shares to the original shareholders
of the Applicant’s Company, it will be the joint responsibility of the
Applicant’s Company and the Sokoto State Government to jointly
provide funds to commence operation’s including the working capital in
the ratio of the shareholding percentage which is 60% and 40%
respectively.
