(Suit No. SC/CR/161/2020) decided on the 20th of
December, 2021.
2. Such further or other orders as this Honourable
Court may deem fit to make in the circumstances.
The application was brought pursuant to the inherent powers of this
Honourable Court as preserved under Section 6 (6) (a) of the CFRN 1999
as amended. It is supported by 6 paragraphs grounds upon which the
application is brought. It is also supported by a 31 paragraphs supporting
affidavit. Annexed to the supporting affidavit, are 2 annexures marked as
Exhibits ‘A’ and ‘B’ respectively.
Exhibit ‘A’ is a memorandum of understanding between Hijrah Textiles
Company Limited and Sokoto State Government.
Exhibit ‘B’ is a letter of complaint/request for investigation signed by
one Mansur Isah Buhari and Muhammad Bashir Achida of the
Department of Modern European Languages and Linguistics, Usmanu
Danfodiyo University, Sokoto dated 4/9/2019 addressed to the Zonal
Head, EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office.
Accompanying the application is a written address which the Applicant’s
Counsel adopted as their oral legal submissions in urging the court to
grant the application.
After the Respondent were served, the Respondent filed a 33 paragraphs
counter affidavit on the 14/2/2022 which was deemed properly filed and
served on 14/2/2022 vide Motion No. SS/M.78/2022. Annexed to the
counter affidavit, are 12 annexures marked as Exhibits 1 – 12
respectively.
Exhibit 1 is the memorandum of understanding between Hijrah Textiles
Company Limited and Sokoto State Government.
