PW5: Yes and the defendants were in detention for about 30 days before they were brought to me. Mustapha Danjuma Esq: Was any of their relative present when you were questioning them before you endorse the statements? PW5: No and the case has complications because they mentioned some other gang members and I so asked members of my to go and get them arrested, but despite our best efforts, we did not arrested anybody again. For the period they stayed with us we were looking for the rest of their members. We did not recover any weapon with the defendants but they did mentioned who is in possession of weapons. We only recovered a handset they used in negotiating for the ransom. I think it should be a Techno handset and the hand set has 2 Sim cards but the Glo Sim is our concern. I however cannot remember the number in full but it started with 0915. Mustapha Danjuma Esq: All your evidence is what you were told to come and tell this court? PW5: Is not true because it is what I know. I did not however visited the houses of the defendants. I did not also visit the scenes of crimes. Mustapha Danjuma Esq: That is all for this witness.
