– “declared his assets and liabilities as prescribed under the
Constitution and has subsequently taken” – appearing in
Section 290(1) of the 1999 Constitution. Section 254(1) of
the 1979 Constitution simply provided –
254(1)
A person appointed to any judicial
office shall not begin to perform
the functions of that office until
he has taken and subscribed the
oath of allegiance and the judicial
oath prescribed in the sixth
Schedule to this Constitution.
Section 290(1) of the 1999 Constitution with the additional
clause provides –
