I live at No. 18 Kambe Road Sahara Area, Sokoto. I am a Police Officer and a public servant. I work with State CID Sokoto attached to CID as an Exhibit Keeper. I have been working for 9 years as an Exhibit Keeper. Some of my duties are accepting and registering of items in connection with criminal cases, and tendering them before a court of law if the need arise. I am AP/No. 180197. I know the defendant on the 12/3/2021 when I was in the office at the State CID Office Sokoto where Inspector Danjuma Giwa brought to me the defendant along with one (1) AK47 riffle with 18 rounds of live ammunitions and 4 empty shells of AK47 riffle for registration in connection with the case of Culpable Homicide against the defendant whose name is Ex CPL Aliyu Tukur. I registered the items as follows:(i) AK47 riffle No. 21/A/2024 (ii) 4 empty shells No. 21/B/2021 The AK47 riffle has an attachment of 18 rounds of live ammunition which were loaded in the magazine.
