Ibeabuchi {2017} LPELR 43590 In view of all that has been said in this judgment as inspired by the available evidence as contained in the averments and annextures annexed thereunder of both parties it is the finding of this court that the applicant was not arrested and detained in lieu of his brother who was accused of committing some crimes, but because the applicant obstructed the police from discharging their lawful duty of arresting his brother against whom a formal complaint was lodged before the 2nd respondent and thereby screened his said brother who eventually escaped from police arrest. I therefore humbly agreed with the respondents’ counsel that the respondents did not in any way violated any of the applicant’s rights. I so hold. The applicant having failed to prove his case the case has no merit and the applicant is not entitled to any of the reliefs sought. Consequently, this suit is hereby dismissed for lack of merit. Make no order as to cost. Application dismissed. 20
