Looking at the mental condition of the defendant, it is clear that he is sick. We therefore urge the court to look at this and consider his situation. CROSS – EXAMINATION. The defendant is my junior brother. He has been sick for sometimes but I cannot say exactly where the problem started. The mental problem started when the defendant finished primary school. The said illness is not permanent. I cannot state the actual date the defendant was taken to the hospital. At first we used to offer him natural medicine. We obtained the said medical report in the year 2021. When the defendant allegedly committed the offence he was not under my custody. I don’t know the whereabout of the defendant at the time he committed the offence. It was somebody who informed our family that the defendant has committed the offence. RE: EXAMINATION NILL S. Ovia – That is the case for the defence and we hereby closed our case. Court: This matter is adjourned to the 10th day of May 2022 for adoption of written addresses.
