happened and she told me that somebody took her into his room and rape her and he gave her mangoes. I checked her panties and saw blood. I went to the place i.e Gidan Mangurori and I entered through the gate and I checked in the rooms and I did not find anybody and I came out and I asked some people the main entrance to the house and when people saw me they stopped and asked me what happened and I told them that somebody raped my daughter and I don’t know where he was and some people entered the house and could not see him. It was on our way out of the house that somebody saw the defendant lying down under a car and he was arrested by the people and I went and came back with the police officer. The said people told me that he ran into the said house. I left the police man there and from there I and a police officer took the girl to the hospital and at the hospital they examined her and concluded that she was raped. We came back from the hospital to the police station. The police told me to go home that the defendant was not arrested. He was later arrested and taken to the C.I.D office and at the C.I.D office our statements were recorded and the police said we should go back home.
