PW4: No we only heard a gunshot but I did not see the defendant shooting anybody, but I saw him and the Civil defence officer running. But I cannot say they were run because they were attacked. M.A. Mustapha Esq: Were the Vigilante group present at the scene? PW4: No and it was not the vigilante persons that inferred us that it was the defendant who fired the gunshot, but it was the vigilante group who called the Area Commander and informed him that they have arrested the person who fired the gunshot. M.A. Mustapha Esq: It was the vigilante members that informed you that it was the defendant who fired the gunshot? PW4: The vigilante member only informed the area commander that they arrested has officer who they sighted running. M.A. Mustapha Esq: How many passengers were in the court that was slapped? PW4: I don’t know. M.A. Mustapha Esq: It is right for a police officer to defend himself? PW4: Yes and he can also fired a shot in order to defend himself.
