Abbas Samaila PSC: You said detective A. Umar was the one who supervised the investigation, for how long have you been with him? PW2: I know him and worked under him for about 4 years before he was transferred to Zamfara State Police Command. Apart from supervising the investigation, he also played some roles among which includes, visitation of the scene of crime, arrest of other suspects, he also recorded the statement of one of the Defendants. These are the other roles he played as far as I can remember. I am also familiar with his handwriting and signature because of the years we spent together. Abbas Samaila Esq: Can you remember the Defendant’s name which A. Umar recorded his statement? PW2: No I can’t recall. Abbas Samaila PSC: That is all for the witness.
